NewTower’s Management Team consists of dedicated professionals who have significant real estate expertise, and extensive trustee and fiduciary knowledge and experience. The team’s knowledge and commitment shows dedication to maintaining strong client relations.

Robert Edwards

Robert Edwards is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at NewTower Trust Company and is a member of TREIC. He oversees financial reporting and operations. He has over twenty-two years of real estate and accounting experience and has worked with MEPT since 1990.  Prior to joining NewTower, Mr. Edwards was a Group Vice President at Riggs Bank; he was responsible for managing the financial reporting and monitoring portfolio performance, and supervising staff.  He has a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from Bucknell University. He is also a member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), and the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. 


Brent A. Palmer

Brent A. Palmer is Executive Vice President and Chief Valuation Officer at NewTower Trust Company, a member of TREIC, and Executive Director of NewTower Valuation Services LLC. Mr. Palmer has over 25 years of experience in market research, feasibility analysis, and valuation of real estate, infrastructure, stocks, securities and intellectual assets as well as leasing, portfolio risk, adaptive re-use, and investment consulting throughout the U.S. and Canada. Prior to joining NewTower and Kennedy, Mr. Palmer was National Manager of Realty Advisory Services for GE Capital (BAF); Senior Vice President and Manager of Valuation Technology at Bank Of America; Senior Vice President and Manager of Real Estate Advisory and Appraisal Services with Seafirst Bank; and Senior Vice President - Managing Director at Landauer Associates, Inc. He received his MBA (Real Estate and Finance emphasis) and BS degrees from Brigham Young University and holds the CRE (The Counselors of Real Estate), FRICS (Fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), and MAI (Appraisal Institute) designations. Mr. Palmer is Chair of the Washington Real Estate Appraiser Commission and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Washington Center for Real Estate Research, CBE National Board of Advisors for Washington State University, Industry Advisory Council (The Appraisal Foundation), National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) and Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).


Paul Nelson

Paul Nelson is Senior Vice President for Law and Compliance at NewTower Trust Company.  He provides legal and regulatory advice to management and the Board and manages NewTower’s compliance program to assure that NewTower adheres to State and Federal regulatory standards.  He worked for five years as an attorney with the Comptroller of the Currency; three years as General Counsel with the Banking Committee, U.S. House of Representatives; three years as a Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of a New York bank and asset manager; and over ten years as a Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, WBC Financial Group and Promontory Financial Group.  He received an A.B. degree from Colgate University and his J.D. and LLM degrees from George Washington University. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, American Bar Association, and the Fiduciary and Investment Risk Management Association.


Barry Faulkner

Barry Faulkner is Senior Vice President – Portfolio Management at NewTower Trust Company and is a member of TREIC. He is responsible for reviewing fund performance and competitive positioning. Mr. Faulkner has over fifteen years of experience in delivering financial and operational solutions to national real estate companies and institutions. Prior to joining NewTower, he led both Booz Allen Hamilton and Ernst & Young teams, providing REITs, pension advisors, Fortune 500 companies and federal government agencies real estate consulting services surrounding financial and operational issues. He was also an executive at SiteStuff, an eProcurement company for property managers financed by international real estate services companies. Mr. Faulkner has an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and an A.B. degree Magna Cum Laude from Bowdoin College, and holds the CRE (The Counselors of Real Estate) designation. He is also a member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) sitting on the Portfolio Management Committee and the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA).


Thao Tran

Thao Tran is Senior Vice President and a Corporate Controller at NewTower Trust Company and is also a member of TREIC. She has twelve years of real estate experience including property accounting, lease administration and portfolio financial monitoring. She oversees NewTower’s financials, human resources and technology initiatives. Prior to joining NewTower, Ms. Tran worked at Riggs Bank for eight years and was responsible for managing the accounting system, and property and performance reporting. She also worked at a property management firm as Assistant Controller for four years. Ms. Tran has a B.S. degree in Accounting from George Mason University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is also a member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF).


Greg Werner

Greg Werner is Senior Vice President and Senior Director at NewTower Valuation Services LLC. His responsibilities include review of appraisals and valuation memoranda, preparation of financial analysis (ARGUS) and performance metrics, and market research. He has over 20 years of valuation, consulting, and appraisal review experience involving a wide variety of residential and commercial properties throughout the United States and Canada. This experience includes the valuation of investment-grade office, industrial, retail, and multi-family developments, as well as special purpose properties. Prior to joining NewTower and Kennedy, Mr. Werner was Managing Director at CB Richard Ellis, Inc. He also spent over 10 years with Bank of America as Vice President, Consultant, and Senior Appraiser. Prior to Bank of America, he was a Senior Appraiser with Lyon, Skelte & Spiers, Inc. and Joseph Blake & Associates. Mr. Werner has a Bachelor’s Degree from San Francisco State University and has been awarded the MAI designation by the Appraisal Institute.



Edinborough Caleb

Edinborough Caleb is Vice President and MEPT Controller at NewTower Trust Company. He has a broad range of responsibilities and over fourteen years of property accounting and leasing analysis experience.  His responsibilities include accounting and financial reporting, monitoring funding, property income and leasing activity, preparing performance reports and financial statements, completing audits, and preparing and monitoring LLC filings. Prior to joining NewTower, Mr. Caleb was a Senior Manager of Portfolio Accounting for six years at Riggs Bank. Mr. Caleb is a graduate of Spicer Memorial College.


Robert Wolf

Robert Wolf is Vice President and Senior Director at NewTower Valuation Services LLC. His responsibilities include review of appraisals and valuation memoranda, preparation of financial analysis (ARGUS) and performance metrics, and market research. He has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate valuation and analysis including the appraisal and review of a broad range of property types, locations, and methodologies. Prior to joining NewTower and Kennedy, Mr. Wolf was Chief Appraiser of Columbia Bank following his employment as national project manager coordinating development and marketing of new real estate valuation solutions for First American Tax Valuation. He also spent over 10 years with Bank of America as a commercial property review appraiser and key contributor in the development of new valuation technologies. Mr. Wolf has a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Washington, where he also completed the certificate program in Commercial Real Estate. He is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and serves as an adjunct instructor at North Seattle Community College teaching the fundamentals of real estate appraisal, income capitalization, and real estate math curriculum. He is also a member of the Technical Advisory Committee for curriculum development at the college.


Elizabeth Parker

Elizabeth Parker is Vice President and Director at NewTower Valuation Services LLC. She is responsible for reviewing appraisals and valuation memoranda, preparing financial analysis (ARGUS) and performance metrics, and providing market research. Prior to joining NewTower and Kennedy, she worked at Terra Property Analytics. She has also worked at Realty Services International (GMAC subsidiary) and PriceWaterhouse Coopers (PWC). Ms. Parker has provided significant commercial real estate valuation, review, and consulting services regarding single property and portfolio appraisals on a wide range of property types (Office, Multi-Family, Assisted Living/Nursing Homes, Retail, Industrial and Vacant Land) for public, private and institutional clients. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS Degree in Economics followed by a MS Degree (Agricultural Economics: Real Estate Finance and Land Economics emphasis). She is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute working towards the MAI membership designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute.


Matthew Plewe

Matthew B. Plewe joined NewTower in 2008 as Assistant Vice President of Real Estate Valuation. Based in the Seattle office, he is responsible for review of appraisals and valuation memoranda, preparation of financial analysis (ARGUS) and performance metrics, and market research. Prior to joining NewTower, Mr. Plewe was a general certified appraiser at PGP Valuation Inc. for four years. From this role, he brings significant experience in valuation and market research of commercial real estate throughout the U.S., including single property and portfolio appraisals on a wide range and scale of property types (Retail, Office, Industrial, Commercial Land, and Golf Course properties). Mr. Plewe received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree from The Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University in 2004, with an Entrepreneurship Emphasis. Mr. Plewe is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute working towards the MAI membership designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute.

 


Kim Collings

Kim Collings is Assistant Vice President at NewTower Valuation Services LLC. She is responsible for executive administrative duties, database management, service engagements, and performance reporting. She has almost 20 years of financial and administrative experience. Prior to joining NewTower and Kennedy, she spent 14 years with Sirach Capital Management, Inc. as Private Client Specialist and Investment Trader, where her duties included settling, affirming and executing trades, tax harvesting and model maintenance, accounting/reconciliation, marketing, database maintenance, and preparation of monthly client financials. Prior thereto, she was an Executive Assistant with Sirach Capital Management, Inc. Ms. Collings received certification from the New York Institute of Finance in the Fundamentals of the Securities Industry and is working towards completion of her BS degree in Business Administration.


Jeanie Eckenroth

Jeanie Eckenroth is Assistant Vice President at NewTower Trust Company. She has ten years of real estate experience and twenty-seven years of administrative experience.  She manages operations and is Corporate Secretary and Personal Assistant to the President.  Ms. Eckenroth oversees office procedures and is the recording secretary for the MEPT Policy Board.  Prior to joining NewTower, Ms. Eckenroth was an Office Manager at Riggs Bank for eight years where she oversaw office procedures, coordinated appraisals and letters of credit and obtained portfolio details and information. Ms. Eckenroth attended Dakota State College and Christopher Newport College.


Shielah Sabalza

Shielah Sabalza is Assistant Vice President at NewTower Valuation Services LLC. She serves as Leasing Data Coordinator with oversight for leasing activity tracking, lease documentation, and performance measurement and reporting. She joined the Asset Valuation Group in November 2003 and has 10 years of real estate property management experience. Prior to joining NewTower and Kennedy, Ms. Sabalza worked at Fisher Properties, Inc. on their Property Management Team. Her responsibilities included property budgeting and analysis, personnel training and recognition, coordination of building and tenant events, administration and development of tenant satisfaction survey, building emergency information, and management of security and after-hour access. Prior to Fisher Properties, Inc., she spent 6 years with UNICO Properties, Inc. where her duties included leasing data system development and administration, software maintenance, leasing administration, tenant services, and tenant event coordination.


Gail Johnson Wolf

Gail Johnson Wolf is an Assistant Vice President of Real Estate Valuation at NewTower Valuation Services LLC. Her responsibilities include review of appraisals and valuation memoranda, preparation of financial analysis (ARGUS) and performance metrics, and market research. She has nine years of experience in commercial real estate valuation and commercial loan underwriting for a wide range of property types, but has particular expertise in multifamily valuation. Prior to joining NewTower, Ms. Wolf was the Senior Commercial Real Estate Analyst for Capmark Finance in Bellevue, WA, following her employment as a Senior Appraiser at PGP Valuation in Seattle where she specialized in multifamily and mixed-use properties. Ms. Wolf has a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Washington and is a Washington State Certified General Appraiser. Professional affiliations include IREM and CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women). Ms. Wolf is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute working towards the MAI membership designation awarded by the Appraisal Institute.


DeeDee Wellington

DeeDee Dolapo Wellington is Trust Officer at Newtower Trust Company. Her responsibilities include reviewing fund performance, performing peer and trend analyses and managing the quarterly reporting functions. Prior to joining Newtower, Ms Wellington worked as Senior Analyst in feasibility and real estate analysis for Choice Hotels International and Assistant Research Manager for the CoStar Group. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Siena College and is a candidate for the Masters in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University. She is also a member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) and Women in Retail Real Estate (WIRRE).


Rajiv Gupta

Rajiv Gupta is Trust Officer at NewTower Trust Company. He works in the accounting department and has over fourteen years of accounting experience.  His responsibilities include wire transfers, monthly and quarterly journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable and account reconciliations. Prior to joining NewTower, Mr. Gupta worked at Riggs Bank for five years where he performed similar duties.  Mr. Gupta is a graduate of American University.


Tsvetelina Tsekova

Tsvetelina Tsekova is Trust Officer at NewTower Trust Company. Her responsibilities include working in the areas of fund accounting operations, corporate accounting and finance. She monitors and reviews portfolio property performance, reports and analyses variances and trends, maintains accounting records and reconciles the lease journal, prepares monthly and quarterly financial statements, assists in preparing year-end LLC tax filings, and assists with year-end audits.  Prior to joining NewTower, Ms. Tsekova worked at Hovnanian Land Investment Group where she was responsible for corporate reporting. Ms. Tsekova is currently completing her M.B.A in Financial Management from the Economics Academy in Svishtov, Bulgaria. She has a B.S. in Accounting from the Economics Academy, Svishtov, Bulgaria.


Adrienne Washington

Adrienne Washington is Executive Assistant at NewTower Trust Company. She assists with all office support duties. Ms. Washington has seventeen years of office administration experience.
