For MEPT, NewTower is responsible for the evaluation and approval of all investment decisions including acquisitions, hold strategies, and dispositions. NewTower adds value by the resources and depth of experience the Company can bring to bear regarding investment decisions.

NVS is an industry leader in asset valuation, employing a thorough and comprehensive process. This program requires an annual, external, independent Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI)-authored appraisal, followed by an internal mark to market analysis during the interim quarters. To assess the most current and reasonable value of each asset, NVS and an independent valuation firm review each external appraisal to ensure compliance, completeness, appropriateness of methodologies, accuracy of calculations, and reasonableness of conclusions.

As part of its Trust Custody Services, NewTower excels at safeguarding client investments including real estate, cash, cash equivalents, and related legal documentation. In this role, NewTower monitors daily administrative and operational matters including compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations including Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, State of Maryland Banking Regulations, and the Internal Revenue Service.

For Accounting, NewTower has the experience to monitor existing and to-be-developed assets by ensuring strict financial controls. In addition, an independent auditor reviews NewTower’s processes and controls annually. Finally, regarding Reporting Services, the Bank has the ability to manage investment data through information systems allowing for highly customized investor reporting. In addition, our systems can facilitate customized, online access to all investment information.
